"Bolt Boost" for flights to Jamaica as Usain inspires searches to the sun
Tuesday, August 07, 2012 | 11:02 AM
KINGSTON,Jamaica-Searches for flights to Jamaica on Skyscanner.net shot up by a whopping 51% yesterday compared to the week before as the ‘Bolt Boost’ inspired thousands to check out Jamaica as their next holiday destination.
Lightning-fast flight search site Skyscanner spotted the huge spike shortly after Usain Bolt surged to victory in the Men’s 100m Final at the Olympic stadium in London, watched by millions across the world and in Jamaica, which this week celebrates the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Bolt runs again tomorrow in the Men’s 200m and is predicted to add a second gold medal to his collection after the final on August 9.
