KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of National Security Peter Bunting said that government had committed a total $600 million to the purchasing of vehicles for the security forces this year.

“This amount is more than the previous three years put together,” the security minister said. He was speaking at the graduation ceremony Friday for 202 graduates at the Police Academy in Twickenham Park St Catherine.

Bunting said that his administration had "taken action" to improve the mobility of the island’s security forces.
