Friday, September 23, 2011

THE clash between Calabar High and Excelsior will highlight today's round of matches in the 2011 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup football competition.

The Group A encounter which will be played at Calabar's Red Hills Road base will feature two of the competition's free-scoring teams.

Calabar, who last won the Manning Cup title in 2005, have tallied 12 goals from two matches so far to be on top of the group with six points.

Excelsior High, the 2003 and 2004 winners, are on the same number of points, but have scored two goals less and trail their rivals on goal difference. Neither team has conceded a goal thus far.
