Jus' A Bills

FOODIE NEWS

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Michi Super Center's Jus' a Bills! programme has been hailed by its many customers as a wonderful festive treat.

The major outlet is offering its customers pre-grouped items from all departments, which are strategically placed throughout the store, for jus' a bills — $100.

Snacks, soups, condiments, tinned goods, vegetables, and household cleaning products are all part of the hugely discounted offerings.

"This Bills programme," explained company director Sharon Loshusan, "is great for young people who are on their own at college. Knowing that they can purchase provisions to ensure a full meal for $100 or more is extremely comforting,"

The savings are even more evident at the fresh foods aisle, as the consumer does not pay general consumption tax (GCT) on these items.

Pre-packaged stir-fry, pre-seasoned meats, as well as chicken nuggets, fries, mixed vegetables are all on the programme, and are very convenient for parents-on-the-go.

"No item is permanently on or off the programme. We want to find every way to pass on savings to the consumers. If the cost of three items will take the cost over $100, we'll just leave off one item and include GCT . Anything for our customers to save," said Janice Bryan, administrative assistant at Michi, as she gave Thursday Food a tour of the 44,000-square-foot store.

At the end of the floor restructuring, there will be just over 30 Jus' a Bills! bins throughout the store, even in the cosmetics department.

Christmas has indeed come early for Michi customers. Congrats, guys!
