SOME women are single by choice, some because they have had bad experiences and do not wish to go through the fuss again, and others, well, because they just don't make the cut to attract a mate.

Religion and theology student at Northern Caribbean University, Marvin Edgar, said a cantankerous woman is among the many types who will be left out in the cold, as even the Bible warns against this type.

"The Bible warns that it's better to live in a corner on the roof than to share a house with a contentious woman," he warned.

Several other gentlemen shared their views on the other types of women who will, more likely than not, forever stay in the 'single for life' lane.

Kevaughn Benjamin:

Women keep doing the same thing and yet they expect to get different results. They will date the same type of guy and it doesn't work and yet they continue to date that type. What that means is that they will always be single. The half-naked dressing that some women do is another thing that will ensure they will remain single. They dress like that and yet they expect you to treat them like ladies, and the man will want to settle with a lady, so he will not go for that. Another woman that will remain single is the one in search of Mr Right. Mr Right does not exist and so you will spend your life looking for him and don't find him. We are just guys with faults that you can work on.

Kevin Parker:

The one who thinks every man is a loser or a dog, and won't give anyone, not even the genuine ones, the time of day.

Dave Bartley:

A woman who sets her standards too high and who is not willing to compromise will remain single. If she is too independent and does not want to settle for someone who earns less than she does, she won't find anybody.

Ronnel Kelly:

The ones who are too dependent on men, and the ones who set their standards too high, so that the men cannot meet them.

Pete Richards:

The woman who always wants what she cannot have — whether it's someone else's husband or some guy she could never get. Worse is the one who goes after the man she shouldn't have. This is a woman who'll forever be thought of as non-wife material.

Lenique Powell:

The ones who lack appeal, who don't focus on their physical appearance, and who have skeletons that the men may know about. Also, women who choose career over everything else.
