Necessary Luxury - Krystal Titania Chong

While there are a number of things I certainly enjoy, there are very few that I actually really need. If I live to be 100 years old, I'd consider that a short life and I've only got one. So my 'thing' is all about maximising mine while I've got it; specifically, my personal equation is: Maintaining high/positive energy + Organisation/Planning = Maximum Productivity.
And all of my necessary items speak to this in one way or another.
My MacBook Pro is like my hub. As a creative hands-on person, I like that I can have an idea and bring it to life more effectively through Mac programs. I thrive on efficiency and my MacBook houses my most important organisational tool: Entourage (the Mac equivalent of Microsoft Outlook). Between these two — my Digicel BlackBerry and my weekly agenda — I can plan, communicate and execute more effectively with a lot of things going on!
I'm a very high-energy person, and Tiger Balm is like an instant "Woo-Sah", in a very refreshing way. A small amount rubbed into your temples and nose bridge is like Buddhist temple 101.
My Hanae Mori is always in my purse. I like having a signature scent that I think communicates my essence.
Every evening after a long day, you can find me kickboxing with my trainer. Exercise feeds me mentally, emotionally and physically and helps me recharge and refocus. I get bored very easily, so the treadmill has never worked out for me. Kickboxing forces me to stay mentally engaged, so much so that I zone out from the activities of the day.
Finally, I always have my camera on me. My friends have dubbed me 'The Japanese Tourist". Memories and moments from experiences I've shared, whether with work or with friends and family, are important to me. Photos capture the emotions in a moment that memories don't quite retain in such high resolution. I keep photos of my friends and family everywhere. They are by far my most important 'Necessary Luxury'.
