Dear Editor,

The talk about corruption, in light of the new Road Traffic Act, can be defeated if the police are serious about changing the perception of the constabulary.

We hope, therefore, that those offering bribes are arrested and charged. These cases must be made public.

If senior officers — those in khaki uniform — accompany their juniors on the road, it would be made much easier.

I hope this will be taken into consideration.

Jamaica is depending on you, Mr Acting Police Commissioner.
