‘Bitter medicine’ caused JLP loss

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Dear Editor,

The JLP and political analysts have suggested several reasons for the massive JLP defeat in both the general and local government elections.

However, I submit that the significant reason for the landslide PNP victories in both elections is as a result of Andrew Holness's outlining of the “bitter medicine” the country would have had to take, had the JLP been returned to power. On the other hand Mrs Simpson Miller promised to ease the high unemployment rate through JEEP.

While the JLP expends precious time on the path of introspection, the PNP will be pulling out its hair attempting to make good to Jamaicans on that campaign promise.
