MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The man who was killed in a shooting incident in the community of Grey Ground here yesterday has been identified as 50-year-old Winston Lowe, otherwise called ‘Chinna Man’.

Police reports are that about 11:30 am, he was approached and fired on by gunmen while sitting beside a shed on his premises located along the Grey Ground main road.

The Manchester police say Lowe is “aligned” to the Grey Ground gang.

The incident reportedly took place while a funeral service was in progress in the adjoining community of Three Chains for a man who was killed in a recent gang-related shooting.

The police said they have not yet determined if there is a connection between the two incidents.

No one was held in relation to yesterday’s incident in which an elderly passer-by was injured.

He is said to be admitted in hospital in stable condition.
