KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica is reporting that this morning should be sunny and hazy islandwide.

This afternoon should expected isolated showers across sections of western parishes, while windy conditions are expected along coastal areas of the island.

Tonight should be partly cloudy.

Meanwhile, the Met Office said that the presence of Saharan dust in the atmosphere continues to limit rainfall across the island.

Weather conditions are expected to remain mainly sunny and windy despite the presence of a tropical wave.

By mid-week however, a trough and a reduction in Saharan dust is expected to increase the chances of shower activity across the island.
