US Coast Guard nabs J'can near Florida

MIAMI, United States (CMC) — The United States Coast Guard says it has detained two Caribbean nationals among six migrants over the last weekend.

It said that the Jamaican and Bahamian, whose names were not disclosed, were on board an 18-foot console with its lights out 15 miles east of Jupiter, Florida.

The Coast Guard said that they also detained two Sri Lankans and two Brazilians.

All six people have been handed over to the US Border Patrol and Homeland Security.
