Two St Ann cops arrested for sexual assault

ST ANN, Jamaica — Two policemen from the St Ann Police Division were this morning taken into custody following allegations that they sexually assaulted a woman in the parish yesterday.

Reports from the St Ann police are that the two reportedly sexually assaulted the woman in the Runaway Bay area last night.

A report was subsequently made, an investigation launched and the men taken into custody.

According to the police's Corporate Communications Unit, a file is now being prepared to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for a ruling.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has been informed of the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
