Trelawny police hold man with illegal gun, bullets

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A man is now in police custody following the seizure of a gun and several rounds of ammunition in Falmouth, Trelawny Tuesday morning, the Falmouth Police said.

The police said that about 7:30 am, the man's motor vehicle was searched and a illegal 9mm pistol along with one magazine containing nine 9mm rounds of ammunition were found.

According to the police, this resulted from preliminary investigations that were conducted into a report that was made by him.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations, the law enforcers have said.
