Jamaica enters its final day of competition with the opportunity to surpass its best Olympic medal tally of 11, achieved in Beijing.
The island has 10 medals, three gold, four silver and three bronze, and lies third in the athletics medal table behind the US and Russia.
Jamaica will compete in three events with strong chances to medal in two, the men's 4x100m and the women's 4x400m.
The other event is Taekwondo where Kenneth Edwards will compete in the mens +80kg division.
The men's relay team is favourite to retain their title with double individual medalists Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake leading the charge. The women's relay team is in with a chance to medal but they will have to be at their best to match-up against the US, Russia and Great Britain who have strong teams.
