Body of suspected drowning victim found near Waterfront, Downtown

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that the body of an unidentified man was found floating in the sea in the vicinity of Waterfront in Downtown, Kingston this morning.

The man is suspected to have drowned.

The police say the body appears to be in its mid-30s, and is of dark complexion, slim build and is about five feet 10 inches long. It was clad in a black t- shirt and black jeans pants.

Reports from the Denham Town Police are that about 6:45, residents saw the body and summoned them. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.

Investigations are ongoing.
