Suicide suspected in death of 16-y-o St Elizabeth girl
ST ELIZABETH , Jamaica — It is believed that a teen girl committed suicide at her home in Newton district, St Elizabeth yesterday.
The constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) this morning reported that the16-year-old girl, Sydonie Johnson, otherwise called 'Shantie', was found hanging by the neck from an ackee tree in her yard about 9:30 last night.
The police were summoned and her body was cut down and removed to the morgue.
The Lacovia police are investigating.
