ST JAMES, Jamaica — The security forces are reporting that the state of public emergency in St James continues to reap success following a firearm seizure and the arrest of three persons on suspicion of lottery scamming today.

Reports are that about 2:00 pm, during search operations, a joint Police/Military team seized a Glock pistol and two empty Glock magazines.

The items were found on premises located in Cherry Gardens, Norwood in the parish.

The security forces also arrested three persons after seizing paraphernalia relating to the lottery scam, however their identities are being withheld at this time.

The St James Anti-Lottery Scamming Task Force is investigating.
