Residents in SOEs reminded to adhere to closing times

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Residents in St James and the St Catherine North Police Division where two states of public emergency have been imposed are being reminded by the security forces of the revised closing hours for business places.

In St James, the closing hours for clubs and fast-food restaurants is at 2:00 am, tavern license, 10:00 pm, service stations at 11:00pm, while Supermarkets/grocery shops/stores are expected to be closed by 8:00 pm.

Over in the St Catherine North Division, community recreational areas are expected to be closed 6:00 pm, cook shops, dry goods and haberdasheries by 7:00 pm, spirit license premises by 9:00 pm, while service stations, clubs, fast food outlets, pharmacies and churches by 10:00 pm.

The security forces are urging members of the public to adhere fully to the stipulated closing times.
