A revitalised West Indies team gained the upper hand in the five match One Day series against Australia on the back of a swashbuckling century from Kieron Pollard at the Beausejour Cricket Ground in St Lucia.
The hosts piled up a formidable 294-7 and fielded and bowled well to restrict the once mighty Aussies to 252 all out.
The West Indies now hold an unbeatable 2-1 series lead and will now look to keep the Australians on the back foot in the final One Day International at the same ground on Sunday.
Scores:
WEST INDIES 294 for seven off 50 overs (Kieron Pollard 102, Adrian Barath 41, Johnson Charles 37, Andre Russell 34, Darren Sammy 31, Darren Bravo 25; Shane Watson 2-55, Xavier Doherty 2-64, Brett Lee 2-72)
AUSTRALIA 252 all out off 46.3 overs (Brett Lee 59, David Hussey 57, Shane Watson 28, Mike Hussey 26, George Bailey 25, Peter Forrest 24; Andre Russell 2-34, Darren Sammy 2-42, Dwayne Bravo 2-47, Kemar Roach 2-74).
