Policeman injured, one man fatally shot

KINGSTON, Jamaica Residents of the Effortville area of May Pen in Clarendon have been informing OBSERVER ONLINE that a policeman was shot and injured in what they claim was a gun battle with a man identified only as 'Speckles' shortly after 11: 00 am today.

While there is as yet no police confirmation at this time, one resident stated that there was a shootout in which the policeman was shot and the attacker as well.

Both men were taken to hospital where 'Speckles' later died.
