Police seize ammo in Negril, St Andrew man charged

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A St Andrew man was arrested and charged following the seizure of a magazine containing 12 rounds of ammunition by the police during an operation at the Negril Beach Park in Westmoreland last night.

He is 34-year-old Orville Bailey, otherwise called 'Bravo', of Temple Hall.

Reports are that about 8:15 pm lawmen accosted Bailey who aroused their suspicion. He was searched and the magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition found in his possession.

He was arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and is scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Friday, February 22.
