Police constable dies in motor vehicle accident

CLARENDON, Jamaica — A police constable said to be approximately 30-years-old died following a motor vehicle accident along the PJ Patterson Highway early this morning.

The constable, Anthony Carl Bailey, was attached to the St Catherine South Division.

Reports are that Bailey was driving his Toyota Corolla motorcar when he lost control of the vehicle which then hit the left embankment of the highway and overturned.

He was thrown from the vehicle and was run over by other passing motor vehicles.
