Manchester, Jamaica — Seventeen year-old Kevin Mignott has been charged for murder following the stabbing death of a female in Mandeville this morning.

Police reports are that Natasha Dixon, 29, a former newspaper vendor of a Grey Ground address was killed at about 5:30am. Mignott, who is allegedly her boyfriend, was arrested and charged.

It is alleged that the two were a part of the gathering at the Jamaica 50 Independence celebrations in the Mandeville Park last night.

They then left for a nightclub in the town where another male began to dance with Dixon. Mignott became jealous and confronted Dixon resulting in an argument between the two and both being escorted from the club.

However, the argument continued on the road culminating in Mignott, who is from a Three Chains address, allegedly stabbing Dixon in the neck.

She reportedly ran to the Mandeville Police Station and collapsed some metres from the guard room.

Dixon died leaving six young children.
