Man fined $37,000 for over 500 traffic tickets

KINGSTON, Jamaica–The police say they have arrested a man for having over 500 outstanding traffic tickets and more than eight traffic warrants.

Arrested and placed before the Corporate Area Traffic Court today is Trevor Samuel of Brown Lane, St Catherine.

According to the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) Samuel accumulated 506 outstanding traffic tickets and was fined $37,000 or 14 days.

He was offered bail with surety in the sum of $100,000 and is scheduled to reappear before the court on Monday, November 12.
