KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness has called a private meeting with the Cabinet.

It is uncertain what issues are being discussed at the meeting, which is currently underway at Jamaica House.

It comes a day after Ruel Reid, who was minister of education, resigned from the Cabinet and Senate on the prime minister's request.

Holness is also scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump tomorrow, to discuss issues ranging from Venezuela to Chinese economic intervention in the Caribbean.

The leaders of The Bahamas, St Lucia, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic have also been invited to the meeting.

More information later.
