KINGSTON, Jamaica — A firearm along with several rounds of ammunition were handed over to the police, following an alleged dispute between two men at a residence on Terrence Avenue, Kingston 20, this morning.

According to preliminary reports from the constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), lawmen were called to the residence to quell the dispute about 10:30 am, and on their arrival, one of the men threw the weapon on top of the roof, following which it was subsequently retrieved and given to the lawmen.

The weapon retrieved turned out to be a Berretta 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing eleven rounds of ammunition.

CCU said the man was subsequently taken into police custody however; his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
