Ganja found after driver abandons vehicle in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Several knitted bags filled with ganja were yesterday found in a motor vehicle, which the driver abandoned in Pours, Manchester, the police are reporting.

According to the constabulary's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), a team of officers were on operation about 8:00 pm when the driver was signalled to stop but did not comply. The lawmen subsequently found the vehicle abandoned in the area.

When a search was conducted, the seven knitted bags were found with an undetermined quantity of ganja.

The police have not yet arrested a culprit.
