Four teens arrested over fatal stabbing in Bog Walk

KINGSTON, Jamaica — OBSERVER ONLINE has received reports that four teens were taken into custody in relation to a fatal stabbing on Main Street in Bog Walk, St Catherine yesterday.

The four, which included one 15 year old, one 18 and two 19— were taken into custody for the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old student, Kavaughn Barnes, and the injuring of another.

According to the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the deceased and the other student were pounced on by the four about 3:10 pm yesterday.

However, it is still unclear what led to the altercation.

After the culmination of the altercation, both teens reportedly sustained stab wounds and were taken to the hospital where Barnes was pronounced dead and the other teen treated and released.

CCU said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
