Four, including woman, in custody after police make Westmoreland gun seizure

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The police are reporting that four people, including one woman, are in custody after a team of officers assigned to the Westmoreland Police Division seized two firearms and an assorted rounds of ammunition on Dalling Street in Westmoreland yesterday.

Reports are that about 5:45 am, the lawmen were on operation in the area when a premises was searched and the following items seized: two Glock pistols, four magazines, 42 9mm cartridges, and 21 .40 cartridges.

The individuals were taken into custody in relation with the seizure. The police said their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
