KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) says it has launched a mini website to assist micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to identify their stage of development in the business life cycle as well as identify the DBJ products applicable to each stage.

The DBJ said the objective of the website is to have a platform with information presented in an informative manner that is specific to different stages in the business life cycle.

The business life cycle illustrates the progression of a business over time and the characteristics displayed throughout each developmental stage, the DBJ explained.

In navigating the website, the entrepreneur will embark on an interactive journey to identify their business stage.

The content of the website is said to educate entrepreneurs on the six stages of the business life cycle -- ranging from the Seed stage to Start-up to Growth to Established, then Expansion and finally, Maturity stage -- and helps to classify the entrepreneur in the most appropriate stage.

This, the DBJ said, provides an opportunity for businesses to gain access to products that will support them in graduating to larger, more sustainable businesses.

According to Christopher Brown, General Manager of the DBJ's Strategic Services Division, “the DBJ is very pleased to provide this service for the MSME business community. It will provide easier access to information and facilitate richer discussions with the financial institutions that provide financing.”

The mini website may be accessed through the company's primary website www.dbankjm.com or directly at http://dbankjm.com/findmystage.dbankjm.com/#intro.
