Cops seize ammo at Sangster International Airport

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A box containing fifty-five .380 rounds of ammunition and a Ruger receiver were seized by police assigned to the Contraband Enforcement Team yesterday at the Donald Sangster International Airport in St James.

According to the police, lawmen were conducting routine checks at the facility about 3:30 pm, when an area was searched and a brown carton box containing the ammunition was found.

The police added that along with the ammunition a Ruger receiver (part of a firearm) was also seized.
