KINGSTON, Jamaica — Buyers flocked the National Arena and the neighbouring Indoor Sports Centre at the Independence Park complex today, for the opening of the Jamaica Manufacturers Expo Jamaica 2018.

The four-day exhibition, of the best of Jamaica's manufacturing sector, will run April 19-22.

Today is Buyers' Day and hundreds of merchandisers seeking products to purchase in bulk turned up to view the exhibitions, which ranged from a “Rum Bar” with a domino table courtesy of Worthy Park Estate to title sponsor Digicel's wide ranging display of new telecommunications and data technology.

One of the new features of Expo Jamaica is the showcasing of the country's national JEMS (Jamaica's Emerging Manufacturers and Services) Village.
