Bike taxi operator robbed, killed in Negril

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A bike taxi operator was killed and his bike reportedly stolen by unknown assailants at the Negril Craft Market last night.

Dead is 29-year-old Everton Reid of Westland Mountain in Negril.

Police reports are that residents heard explosions about 10:15 pm and summoned them.

The police officers who responded said they found Reid with gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to hospital where death was confirmed.

Investigations continue.
