KINGSTON, Jamaica — Crime Stop is offering a reward of $200,000 for information leading to the arrest and charge of those responsible for the murder of Fitz Albert Barnes better known as Bunny Barnes on Young Street in Spanish Town, St Catherine last May.

Reports are that the body of the 74-year-old retiree was found at the front of his house on May 25 in a state of decomposition wrapped in a comforter and his head wrapped in a piece of red cloth, after he was last seen two days earlier.

Lawmen reportedly entered the premises and found his bedroom completely ransacked with several spots of blood on his bed.

A post mortem determined that the cause of death was due to a blunt force trauma to the back of his head.

Several items were taken from his home including a cell phone and other electronics.

The police said they have been unable to get a breakthrough in the case and would like the public's assistance in solving the case.

The offer expires on December 31, 2018.
