Singer Tom Laing recently released Street Teacher, the first single and title track from his soon-to-be-released album of the same name.

Veteran musician Donni Marshall produced the single, which was released last December.

“The response to Street Teacher has been excellent. It's getting a lot of support from DJs in Jamaica and other parts of the world. I'm grateful to all the DJs who are playing it,” Laing told the Jamaica Observer.

Street Teacher is the follow-up to Laing's EP Love Is OK, released in 2016.

“The album is almost finished, it's just matter of putting the finishing touches on a couple of songs that need harmonies, mixing and mastering and then we'll be ready to release it. I'm looking at the possibility of a summer release. I am also going to drop another single before I put out the album,” he said.

The New York-based Laing plans to shoot a video for Street Teacher in Jamaica.
