Reggae Sumfest kicks off with the highly anticipated beach party, Adult Playground, at Tropical Beach on Sunday, July 16. However, the turnout of potential beach bunnies at the first auditions was a delightful indication of the alluring touch of the Ibiza-themed party.

Last Saturday, DownSound Entertainment hosted scores of females aspiring to be chosen as Sumfest beach bunnies.

Cordell “Skatta” Burrell and Karla Jankee, both of DownSound Entertainment, along with the CEO Joseph Bogdanovich, were all pleased with the turnout. The team revealed that a second staging will be held at Pier One, Montego Bay, today at 10:00 am.

Executive assistant to the CEO of the DownSound Entertainment and Reggae Sumfest Enterprise Karla Jankee shared: “This year, the whole theme, the look, the venue, everything is new. So we decided that we needed some ladies to bring even more panache to the first event.”

Reggae Sumfest celebrates 25 years with this year's staging and Jankee added that the beach party has been a highly supported part of the festival since inception.

The bunnies will be key players in keeping with the theme of Reggae Sumfest being innovative and bringing more to the table.

“Reggae Sumfest 25 is bringing the beach party on a next level. It's the Adult Playground and everything, including the Sumfest Beach Bunnies is about being exquisitely sexy,” said Joseph Bogdanovich. “This year, the venue will have cabanas, adult swings, a bar in the middle of the beach, it will be epic.”

The Reggae Sumfest Beach Party offers cabana packages including a cabana area, tables and table service, alcohol and a beach bunny. Ahead of the second and final staging of auditions for beach bunnies, Jankee added that those selected will be airbrushed and clad in swimsuits for the beach party. She encourages confident females to come out today, June 17 at Pier One to become a prized Sumfest beach bunny.

Owned by Joseph Bogdanovich and produced by his company DownSound Entertainment Limited, the week-long festival is staged in Montego Bay, and begins on Sunday, July 16 with the Beach Party, the staple All-White Party at Pier One happening on Tuesday, July 18. Sumfest Blitz takes place on Wednesday, July 19 and the exciting Sumfest Heavyweight Clash will be held on Thursday, July 20 at Pier-One. The festival climaxes at the historic Catherine Hall on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 with live music featuring Sean Paul, Tory Lanez, Alkaline, Mavado, Queen Ifrica, Jah Cure, Sizzla and Christopher Martin, among many others.
