POPCAAN'S sophomore album, Forever, was released online yesterday, one day after its launch in New Kingston.

Fans of the deejay rolled out to Triple Century car park for the event which got underway more than two hours after its scheduled 8:00 p.m. start. Popcaan, who turned 30 that day, graced the stage close to 1:00 am, alongside Chromatic sound system, to debut the 17-track set.

Before getting down to business he acknowledged incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel, his former mentor with whom he collaborated on the 2010 hit song, Clarks.

Forever contains the pre-released songs Body So Good, Firm and Strong and Wine for Me. The set is produced by American Dre Skull of Mixpak Records, who also produced Popcaan's 2014 debut album Where We Come From. That project peaked at number two on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.

The only collaboration on Forever is with African act Davido on the single Dun Rich.

The event ended with a live performance from Popcaan as well as cameos by Bugle, Nesbeth, Dre Island, Jah Vinci, Jafrass, Quada and Zion.
