Incorporating fresh ideas and listening to feedback from patrons, are critical in the survival of an event. Promoter Chavaughn O'Neil knows this all too well.

The latest staging of his popular party series, KGN 5, is set to unfold tonight at the Terrace Bar & Grill at Southdale Plaza in St Andrew.

“We try to keep the ideas fresh and non-repetitive. So, for each staging, we try to make it seem as if it's the first time the party is being held. We also try to ensure that the entertainment for the night is on par and up to standard,” said O'Neil.

KGN 5 continues to pull large crowds with each staging. In February, some 2,700 patrons were in attendance. O'Neil hopes to attract more tonight.

“February was our biggest crowd ever and now we are hoping to reach even 3,000 patrons. The theme for this event is Gyal Summer and it is geared specifically towards the females,” said O'Neil.

Commissioned to provide the musical delights at this staging of KGN 5 are sound systems Di Unit and Illusion Sound as well as disc jocks Hatta Klaps and DJ Spuggy.

KGN 5 is held three times annually. It was first held in 2014.
