KINGSTON, Jamaica — Atlanta's entertainment scene has grown over the past 12 years and Jamaica-born event promoter Tamara Goodaz is paying keen attention.

“Here in Atlanta, the entertainment scene is pretty vibrant and steamy, especially on weekends. Whether you're looking for live music, a dance, a nightclub or if you just simply want to hang out, there is something there for everyone,” she told OBSERVER ONLINE.

Come tonight, she will stage her eighth annual Modelers Ball Affair at the Gary Event Facility, Stone Mountain in Georgia.

“It will be a night filled with festivities along with fashion on the red carpet. It's going to be a lot of fun so persons can come out dressed to impress and have a great time,” she explained.

Since its inception, Modelers Ball Affair has seen growth in the number of patrons attending each year.

“Everyone knows this event for its star-studded appeal, the red carpet treatment and it is also one of the most anticipated events on the party scene here in Atlanta,” she said. “Modelers Ball Affair targets the who's who in the fashion world, designers, artistes, models and other event promoters. The all come together to have a great time.”

The event will feature music courtesy of Negus, Danger Marcus, Peter Blacks and Father Dre.

Originally from the Kingston 13 area, Tamara Goodaz has promoted other successful events such as the annual New York Style BBQ, which is a hit each summer.
