Twelve Tribe celebration continues

The Rastafari mansion Twelve Tribes of Israel continues its year-long jubilee celebrations tonight.

The entertainment showcase features vintage star power at its headquarters along Hope Road in St Andrew to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the visit of Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I to Jamaica.

The event will be headlined by internationaly vintage reggae artistes Fredlocks and King Sound and supporting acts Israel Voice, Geoffrey Star and Empress Chai, with special guest artiste Daweh Congo being backed by the Twelve Tribes of Israel and Icymbal bands.

The visit of Emperor Haile Selassie I, inspired the regathering of the Twelve Tribe of Israel by Doctor Vernon Carrington — Prophet Gad — and is now functioning in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, the United States, throughout the Caribbean, Great Britain and New Zealand.
