JUNIOR “Kurt” Richards, co-promoter of Sneakerz and Jeanz, is pleased with the annual party series' recent staging at the Church Pen football field in Old Harbour, St Catherine, recently.

The series was celebrating its 10th anniversary.

“The party was great. This year we had a lot more support from the community as a lot more people turned out than previous stagings. We're happy, as the sponsors stepped up to the plate and, as usual, the event was incident-free,” Richards told Jamaica Observer.

“A special big up to our valued sponsors Magnum, Boom, Appleton Special and Blow Wow Entertainment.”

Sneakerz and Jeanz saw music provided by Wizzard International, while selectors Johnny Bravo and Mama's Boy were also present.

As customary, part proceeds from the event will go towards a back-to-school treat for the community. Scheduled for September 27, it will be held at the same venue as the party.

“We have to give back to the community because it's necessary. You have a whole heap of children who need the help to go back to school.”
