Disturbed by the frightening level of violence against Jamaican women, deejay Sahie hits out in the song,

Land We Love . The song is produced by Omari Abrahams of Birthright Music.

Sahie (real name Kiplin Reid) laments that the spate of murders, rape and domestic abuse is unprecedented.

“Jamaica never used to be like this…the daily murders, the killing of women and our children. As I ponder these things, the reality hit me hard and I had to write this song,” he stated.

Last year saw 24 women murdered in Jamaica. Domestic abuse against women was also high.

Land We Love is one of several songs Sahie has done for fledgling Birthright Music.

Born in Kingston, he was influenced early by the cool tones of Gregory Isaacs and the gritty lyrics of Josey Wales.

Sahie has recorded for various producers including Payday Music Group. His previous songs include

Chat Away and By The Will of God.
