Dear Editor,

The obvious choice for a new minister of education, youth, and information, without doubt, must be Floyd Green, now state minister in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture, and Fisheries.

Notwithstanding, the present stability offered by Minister Karl Samuda, succession planning must be a developmental consideration.

As a former state minister in the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Information it is expected that Floyd Green could have the required expertise and knowledge of the operations of that ministry.

The critical immediate development needs of the youth require a focused, vibrant individual. The position requires someone who can be groomed by the varied constituents in that sphere and yet work in a harmonious manner with other layers of leadership.

All things considers, Juilet Holness could also be a winning contender.
