Dear Editor,

National security refers to the safety and protection of a people from threats, harm, danger, and attacks from the outside and inside world. And our national security effort includes our armed forces, such soldiers and the police.

On a scale of one to 10, how do we rate Jamaica's national security?

In the face of so many brutal murders and with the level of national fear, plus the extortion ring becoming wider, is our national security apparatus really operating like a good and reliable guardian angel?

I am saying to all the monsters, to all the bullies and woman-beaters, to all the so-called rude boys, to all the fiery-tempered and aggressive bastards, when you attack the people of Jamaica, you are also attacking the national security of the country. When you go around like you're in the Wild, Wild West, shooting down innocent people, you are also attacking our national security.

Who is responsible for protecting the people Jamaica?

Whom should we blame for more than 1,000 people being killed in a period of one year in Jamaica?

Whom should get the blame for the many illegal guns and ammunition coming into the island?

Whom must we blame as the national fear still soars to greater heights?

We know the answers like ABC!

Donald J McKoy
