Risen, Indeed

The season of Easter is far more than the obligatory bun and cheese custom of Jamaicans. On this Easter Day columnist Raulston Nembhard says it is useless to debate the semantics of date accuracy and ritual origination, rather we should use the observance to rekindle the dying embers of our souls. He says, in the same way the changing seasons will see to the rebirth of nature, little instances of resurrected power are born in each of us; seize them. Then Lance Neita employs satire to retell the Easter story from ‘2016 Jerusalem’, in his own way drawing everyone to an appreciation of the message: He is risen!
