The iCreate Institute hosted the closing ceremony and graduation for its first cohort of 2018 last Thursday, awarding over 100 young people with creative certificates and diplomas.

The awards were issued by the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean through a partnership with iCreate.

Guest speaker Debbie Bissoon — media personality, marketing executive and CEO of Bissoon Productions —encouraged the cohort to continue to challenge themselves and develop their newly honed skills.

“Do not wait to begin to create,” she told them. “Do not wait to be employed; start right now! You can create right where you are, in your living room. You have gotten training here at iCreate, but it does not stop here. Expand! Learn more!”

“The creative space is somewhere you can take risks — you have no excuses and no limits. Use what you've learned here and what is bubbling inside of you to your advantage and create something. Lead the pack!”
