MoBay to host dental convention
Friday, February 03, 2012
MORE than 300 dental professionals are expected to attend the annual Jamaica Dental Association (JDA) Convention scheduled for the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and Spa Resort, Montego Bay, February 14-18, 2012.
This highly anticipated convention provides a forum for the 'meeting of the minds' of dentists primarily from Europe, North America, Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. One objective of the convention is to ensure that regional dental practitioners remain on the cutting edge of global advancement in all segments of the profession.
The dental convention typically attracts speakers who are experts in their field and who are widely sought after, and this year will be no different, as the motable speakers include Drs Cathy Jameson, Ross Nash, Raghunath Puttaiah, and Fotinos Panagakos who collectively bring years of experience and expertise.
In addition to the dental surgeons in attendance, the convention also provides informative lectures for dental hygienists, technicians and auxiliaries thus offering an opportunity for all members of the dental team a chance to hone their skills.
The membership of the Jamaican dental fraternity recognises the importance of staying abreast with new and improved techniques and technology in an effort to provide quality patient care. Continuing education is strongly recommended by the Dental Council of Jamaica, and as a result, dental surgeons readily seize any opportunity presented to share ideas and their experience. The annual conference allows for a more intimate setting where dentists can interact with world renown experts and get hands-on guidance in fully understanding intricate procedures.
