Jamaica's Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett wrapped up his European tour with a live interview on CNN with its prominent news anchor Richard Quest on his show Quest Means Business . Bartlett, Director of Tourism, Donovan White Senior Advisor/Strategist Delano Seiveright and European-based JTB officials visited Greece, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.

In Germany, Bartlett led a delegation to the ITB Berlin Tourism expo, the largest of its kind in the world, attracting around 109,000 visitors and 10,000 exhibitors to trade stands, talks and workshops.

Several major developments, including Bartlett being awarded Worldwide Tourism Minister of the year; additional non-stop flights and increased seats between Europe and Jamaica starting May; the opening up of other tourist growth markets in Europe; increased European cruise activities and heightened investor interest in the island, were some of the hallmarks.

Jamaica welcomed a record 325,804 European tourists last year, approximately 31,000 more than the previous year.
