Lyons is king
TO say David Lyons is an automotive enthusiast would be an understatement.
In fact, his business is solely dedicated to providing accessories for vehicles.
So, it came as no surprise when he was the first person to purchase a Honda Ridgeline from ATL Automotive at its REVOLUTION car show held at its Oxford Road facility last weekend.
"Honda has been known for reliability and it’s a new model vehicle. It’s a pick-up that has the versatility and comfort of a car," said the principal of The Body Shop Limited, located on Dunrobin Avenue in Kingston.
"We’re gonna form a Ridgeline club... So it was important to me to get the first model so that we could start the club," he continued.
Lyons said he has been the owner of Honda vehicles since the early 2000s.
"We’ve owned CR-Vs since 2002. Currently, we’re waiting on the new CR-V to come. So hopefully, we’ll get the first one also," he said.
The businessman shared what he would be doing with his newly acquired Honda Ridgeline.
"We’re gonna use it for my personal use. Also to show off the accessories that are available for it... to help promote that brand throughout the island, in terms of a new concept pick-up."
Sam McKenzie, head of business for Honda at ATL Automotive, had high praises for the brand.
"Honda is a brand that adds value to everyone’s life. Not just because of its comfort, but how it functions and how it fits into your everyday operations," said McKenzie.
"When you look at David Lyons... he’s not into accessories for vehicles; he’s into pick-ups; and he travels a lot to the country for activities with his family, so the Ridgeline is not just a commercial vehicle; it’s a hangout unit."
