Jacqueline Donaldson (left), vice-president of group human resource and corporate services at Sagicor Group Jamaica, celebrates with the financial services conglomerate's top interns for 2018 at its internship graduation ceremony on Friday, December 21 at the company's New Kingston head office. The interns — (from second left) Nikolaus Richards, Sherice Ross, Romaine Halstead, Junay Buchanan, Cavin Oliver and Chevant Hamilton — were selected from the cohort of 36 and awarded in the categories of Star Intern, Group Project of the Year, and Intern of the Year. They were selected based on their performance throughout the programme, their group internship project showcase, and feedback from their assigned managers and the programme coordinators. The Sagicor Internship Programme, now in its fourth year, runs from October to December annually and provides recent university graduates with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and professional training and development. The programme transitions an average of 80 per cent of interns into full-time Sagicor employees each year. (Courtesy of Sagicor)
